The goal of E-channel is to establish an "open/alternative information resource" - and not blogging. Moreover, the focus is on the days of the election, so everything you see now is really just the preparation for the big days. That information resource (E-channel) will ALSO have an interactive component = blogs, forums, online polls, ability to comment on various issues, but that is not a priority. We have decided that it will be useful to provide free blog hosting on the server, but we don't think it is important, as there are many good free blogging platforms available already, and it is unproductive to create useless competition. However, we have been experimenting with test platforms - right now there is PHPNuke, but I will replace that with Wordpress and provide full fledged blog hosting - however, this point is still open to discussion ( http://www.echannel.am/blog/index.php). The main focus of my attention (I'm responsible for the blogging component on E-channel) is to make the voice of the bloggers heard - and working intensively to pop up links to various Armenian blogs (like your blog) on Google, Technorati, Bloglines, Wikio, Blogflux, etc. I do so by registering blogs on those services, rating them, creating directories of Armenian blogs (like my failed project on Wikipedia :)) I also write blog reviews for the Global Voices Online ( http://www.globalvoicesonline.com) to increase visibility of Armenian blogs worldwide. I have been working on it part-time since February, and I can already see some positive results, Armenian blogs are seen as one of the most active communities in the world (in comparison, nobody in the predominantly English language internet has ever heard of any Georgian or Azerbaijani blogs). I am accountable to: 1/ bloggers - so I will be happy if you comment, criticize and also make suggestions of what should be done 2/ people who come to the internet and want to understand what real people think and feel about developments in Armenia - and I need to make sure that those people can find the most interesting blogs easily. Here again I appreciate comments, criticism and suggestions. Note, that I am getting paid for promoting blogging in Armenia - but many of my initiatives (like the Armenian Blog Review - http://ditord.wordpress.com) are my voluntary contribution, which I DON'T NEED TO DO under these grant terms or according to my contract, I just think that it is useful, and if you think it is not or that it could be improved in any way - I would be very interested to hear your opinion. PS: I am really sorry for using English for explaining myself, but my Russian is simply not good enough.

I really appreciate your work for armenian blog reviews, and, if I remember well, once expressed my gratefullness for it. It is really useful and interesting. Moreover, I've created syndicated feed for one of your initiatives, and it have 4 readers in livejournal. The only thing, that I would recommend: throw away PHPNuke. It really sucks. IMHO it is always better to write CMS from a scratch, because any third party software makes you dependent in terms of security and feature addition.
